To celebrate the 200th Year of HMS Trincomalee you can help us kick off the fundraising by supporting us restore our figurehead. This was probably the ship’s second figurehead and was made in 1845 ready for Trincomalee’s first commission to the Americas and West Indies. He was designed and carved by Hellyer and Sons, they served all the major dockyards in the country and were the most successful figurehead carvers of the 19th Century.
